Bonsai  Hobby : 

The word bonsai is pronounced in Japanese. A bonsai, Japanese  盆栽 bonsai, derived from Chinese 盆栽, penzai, "planting, caring for plants in a pot") variation of Penjing (Chinese: 盆景, pinyin: pénjǐng "potted landscape") is in Chinese tradition, a tree or a plant with one or desrochers and, according to Japanese tradition, a tree or a plant in a pot. This word literally means a plant (usually a tree or shrub) grown on a tray or in a pot (meaning good cup or tray and season plant) in the Chinese version, jǐng mean landscape. This tree is miniaturized techniques specific size, and ligating its branches. We repot regularly to cut its internal as well as those who join the surface of the pot (nebari) roots, to make a work of art aesthetics like the tree in nature. The word bonsai is pronounced in Japanese.


History of Bonsai :

Growing plants in pots began in Egypt there are about four thousand years, mainly for practical reasons, utility and mobility. The Greeks, Babylonians, Persians and Indians copied the technique. The Chinese were the first to grow trees in pots for aesthetic purposes, in the era of the Han Dynasty (-206 to 220). At that time there was no talk of bonsai as a hobby, but Penjing (pénjǐng 盆景) (representation of a landscape in a cup). Shortly after the Qin Dynasty (220-581) appeared the penzai 盆栽 (single tree in a cup). Today, in China, the tradition of Pengjing continues, with more ardor than bonsai.
For proof of the existence of this art at that time, in 1971, archaeologists discovered the tomb of Prince Zhang Huai, who died in 705 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), a mural painted on the walls of his tomb . She is wearing two valets, one a miniature landscape, and the other a lotus-shaped vessel containing a tree with green leaves and red berries.
Codification bonsai best known in the West is that of Japan. The event marked the end of the century the eleventh century, that of the entry of Zen Buddhism in Japan. New influences from China appeared in Japan soaking mainly the upper classes of society. During the Kamakura period (1192-1333), bonsai hobby were treated as art objects. They were a sign of greatness for the lords of the time. Luxuries, they mentioned a new state of well being that the refinement was pushed to the extreme.
In the twelfth century, Zen played an important role in the art of Japanese gardens. This is confirmed by the famous roller moinebouddhiste Honen Shonin, the Kamakura period, and representation of small trees aligned in cuts. You should know that the work of the monk trace especially life in the Heian period (794-1191). It is therefore reasonable to conclude that this art appeared in Japan later in the year 800.
